I am bringing you a simple outerwear piece that every man should own this Spring. If you ever read through a men’s spring outerwear essentials top ten list and this color bomber isn’t included, you are being sold short! The Olive Bomber Jacket can work casually with a tee and can compliment any shirt and tie combo nicely.
I picked this jacket up for a steal, on sale at H&M for under $30. This is a variation of the MA-1 as it does not have the typical knit collar but rather a polyester standing double button collar but does still feature ribbed cuffs and waist finish.
To make things simple, classic and comfortable, I wore a plain white, pima cotton Banana Republic V-neck t-shirt. The sky’s the limit with the pairing options and this would be excellent with a button down for work or on date night.
Expressive and unique linings are my thing and I look for them in suits, pants pockets and coats. You get a small glimpse of the red, white and blue cotton check patterned lining in this close up. The great thing about this jacket is that the body and sleeves are fully lined with cotton so it is soft and prevents that sweaty sauna feeling during your morning commute that is a typical characteristic with polyester shell jackets.
